Epoxy primer
Barrikade®
Product data sheet
Barrikade EP-DPM is a solvent-free, two-component concrete primer giving excellent adhesion, even to damp concrete. Approved according to EN 1504-2 for compatibility with wet concrete. Barrikade EP-DPM is intended for use as a primer for humid concrete substrates in combination with Barrikade screeds and coatings. It gives an excellent adhesion to poorly treated concrete, steel and asphalt. Barrikade EP-DPM has very low permeability, and it gives good corrosion protection. Barrikade EP-DPM can be used on fresh concrete (1-2 days old) Note!: Barrikade EP-DPM is not colour stable and is primarily intended as a primer. The surface should be free of laitance, oil, grease and loose or friable particles that may affect adhesion. Automatic shot-blasting or scabbing is recommended. The surface should then be vacuumed. Barrikade EP-DPM is supplied in units ready to use comprising component A (Base) and B (Hardener). Pour contents of B into A container and mix thoroughly for at least 3 minutes with a low speed drill. Use gloves and goggles. Keep the components at room temperature 24 hours prior to use. Barrikade EP-DPM is applied with a brush, roller or squeegee. If the concrete is very porous, two coats are recommended. Total material consumption approx: 0.3-0.4 kg/m². If dry areas occur, apply additional EP-DPM. The dried primer may appear tacky. When used as a moisture barrier two coats of 0,35 kg/m2, total 0,7 kg/m2 is recommended. Wash hands with special hand cleanser and thereafter with soap and water. Tools should be cleaned with solvents immediately after use. Mandatory and recommended industrial hygiene procedures should be followed whenever reactive resins are being handled and processed. See safety data sheet.
